Radical Dharma: urbanRetreat (Sunday practice)

The urbanRetreat is open to participation even if you can only make only one or two days. Sunday will be a half day of practice from 6am to 11am.

Rev. angel Kyodo williams Sensei and Lama Rod Owens are visiting various locations throughout the country in the wake of the killings of Michael Brown and Eric Garner to lead a series of ongoing conversations on race, privilege, healing and the Dharma. Lama Rod and Rev. angel Sensei will be bringing the teachings of the Dharma to bear on the white supremacy and racism we encounter in our lives, in our practice centers, and in our relationship to liberation.

These two unique teachers come together to offer teachings during the newDharma Community’s non-residential retreat, taking place at the Center for Transformative Change in Berkeley, CA.

This retreat will blend the signature practices of the newDharma Community, including Fearless Meditation, Fearless Yoga, Mu-I Tai Ji, chanting, walking & working with those of Lama Rod Owens and the Natural Dharma Fellowship.
